Four years ago, Harry Potter defeated the darkest wizard of all-time, Lord Voldemort, bringing much needed peace to the wizarding world. Still only 18 years of age, he had his whole life in front of him along with the rest of his classmates. The end of Voldemort brought a new beginning for many and hope, something everyone had been missing. For the past few years, the wizarding world has been picking up the broken pieces of what Voldemort left behind, trying to regain a stable, uncorrupt ministry, and put everyone back on their feet. Despite the considerable gains in making the wizarding world a better place, the ministry still holds corruption, especially with some former Deatheaters holding positions they should never have been given. But for the time being, the wizarding world has succumbed to a tranquil peace.
Like most had expected, Harry Potter did go on to Auror Training at the hidden academy. Along with his best mate, Ronald Weasley, they have been training to become aurors for the past four years away from the rest of the wizarding world. Only letters, though very few, have kept in contact with the wizarding world, but some news may not have reached the ears of this pair. And any other wizards and witches that they see are those that are with them in the auror academy, dreaming to become the same thing. But with the leaving of two best friends, Hermione Granger has been left behind and the relationship that barely had a start with Ronald ended the night before he left. Distraught and unsure, she fled to Bulgaria, the one place she was constantly invited to but never took up the offer. The Golden Trio, who had once saved the wizarding world, had left England temporarily, each working on building up their lives.
Despite the peace that has settled among the wizarding world, the year 2002 has brought a few changes. With the Golden Trio, the well-known saviors to the wizarding world, gone, a few people have taken advantage of that. Slowly but surely, a force is rising, a more vengeful group. The Deatheaters scorned them, used them for their own good, and when you're associated with Deatheaters, the Order will certainly not accept you. This was the case for many werewolves across the world, especially Fenrir Greyback. Given the Deatheater robes but never the mark, he was only used for the killing of others. Bitterness still resides in these so-called "monsters" and the wizarding world may have wished that they never have angered these groups. The returning of Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley in August brings a tasteful smile for those aligned with this werewolf rebellion. Muggles are randomly dying, but the ministry has no idea who it is. Fear is slowly regaining its power over wizard and witches, and uncertainty is filling everyone up inside.
Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley are put on the case, believing to gain hope for the wizarding world and put an end to this. Their prime suspect: Draco Malfoy. But is he really causing all this trouble or is he, as he claims, a changed man? Unfortunately for Mr. Malfoy, the aurors aren't buying it and are determined to gain evidence against him. Will these true perpetrators show himself or will they use Malfoy as the scapegoat? Harry, now looking for direction and desperate for help, pleads for Hermione to return to England once more. Her return seems to bring a handful of surprises on what she has been doing in Bulgaria for the past four years. But moving back to England may be her biggest mistake or perhaps the best move she has made in her life. But with what seems to be the brink of war, the wizarding world's future isn't looking so bright. Whether they know it or not, they must all take cover Beyond the Moonlight.
