Sebastien hummed a cheerful tune as he searched for the curtains for his puppet stage. The Spring Festival was starting the next day and many of the entertainers were setting up their stations. Looking around, Seb could see some fauns setting up a bonfire to dance around, some musicians putting up their stands and chairs, some others putting a stage together and some Talking Animals setting up tables. Other than performances, there were also games and dances. Seb smiled. This was one of his favourite things about being an entertainer and a traveler; he got the chance to go to different celebrations, meet new people and perform in front of happy crowds.
The young boy finally found the curtains under a few puppets. Tomorrow, he was going to do some puppet shows and maybe some magic shows. At festivals like these, Sebastien usually did performances for the kids since there were many other performers. He didn’t want to end up doing the same thing as everyone else. There were enough people telling jokes and stories and singing and playing music already. On the other hand, there weren’t many puppet shows and magic shows. Not to mention how these two shows were the children’s’ favourites. The children also happened to be the most enthusiastic too.
Seb straightened up and admired his handiwork. The puppet stage was something he had made several years ago when he realized that tables were not good enough for a puppet stage when he was performing to royalty. He quickly went to find a carpenter who was willing to give him a hand building a proper stage, one that he could take apart and put together again. The stage had served him well and hopefully, it’ll last several more years.
Now that he was done setting up. Seb had nothing better to do but explore. He saw several entertainers and musicians that he knew but they were all busy. Seb walked around, he gave a helping hand to a few people but other than that, there was absolutely nothing to do. Everyone was busy with the setting up and had no time for fun until the next day. With a sigh, Seb turned around. He should look for a place to sleep for the night, except someone bumped into him.
