S I T E P L O T !
Meanwhile, on the other side of the universe, in Forks, Washington, the souls have taken over. But they have hit a glitch. They never expected creatures like werewolves and vampires to exist. They’ve found that it’s impossible to enter a vampire and do an insertion, for two reasons. One, they don’t have materials strong enough to puncture the skin. And two, vampires are too strong of mind and bloodthirsty to carry a peace-loving soul around in their heads. This is lucky for Bella and the rest of the gang. But there are problems. The werewolves can be infected, though they remain in their own minds. The souls convince them to do terrible things, though, and soon there will be serious problems concerning them. The only werewolves that cannot be hosts are ones that have imprinted, because the will to live for one person alone is far too strong to resist the mind, for a soul.
Renesmee is another problem, very similar. She is about the size of a seven year old now, and very wise for one as well. But she, like the werewolves, can be made into a host. It’s not a problem the vampires waste time over, though, because she is so well protected, it’s not really a concern.
Alice has forseen that they must travel to Jeb’s place, and they will find a solution. They don’t yet know who lives there; only that it is absolutely necessary to make the journey. As soon as they set out, bickering breaks out between the wolves and the vampires, and when they arrive at Jeb’s, they are all shocked at the number of humans still alive. The vampires and wolves dedicate themselves to the cause with gusto, and the whole human population has burst in happiness. Since the end of the Host, there are sixty-five humans, including Wanda, living in Jeb’s tunnels. They have extended them so it’s more like a large city and the work has been split down the middle. The new folks, those from Nate’s group have taken over the jobs such as weeding, gardening, cleaning, etc. And the forty-three spend their days digging the tunnels carefully out.
Friendships form between the vampires and the humans, even though most of them live in constant fear of being eaten alive. Hunting is problematic, though they’re all so stealthy, it’s really not that much of a labor. With all of Dr. Cullen’s ability in the medical field, he has the power to get a lot of medicine they need. Edward and Bella and the rest of the Cullen/Hale family are charming enough to get anything they need with the help of silvery contacts.
Life is good. Though the problems of the souls become more and more stressed, and the volcano will blow eventually. There is a rebellion rising from the four most unlikely ranks imaginable: the humans, the vamps, the werewolves, and the two souls. And of course little Renesmee.
Predictably, Jacob and Jared have formed a bond. As have Bella and Wanda. Melanie keeps to herself a little more, though she has made friends with (oddly) Rosalie. They both spend a lot of time doting on Renesmee. And that brings up another subject: Jamie. He is well, and almost fourteen now. But there’s a bit of a problem…he likes Renesmee. Her situation has been explained to him many times, though he never gives up. Ian and Sam try to pull him away from this notion, with failed attempts. That will be an interesting rut to overcome.

Will you join their rebellion? Or will you side with the souls?
