She tends to stick with very large, billowing skirts, particularly in everyday wear, so that it does not impede her movements or her ability to ride. Often there is an underskirt or underdress of some sort beneath the skirt, as that is the common style. For tops, she tends to stick to long sleeved bodices. Most often she prefers thin sleeves as they will keep out of her way when shooting her bow, though she'll go for wider, more billowing sleeves in fancier outfits. The main piece of her bodices are rarely low-cut, as she is fairly modest when it comes to clothing, and there is often some sort of detailing or design on it.
Her usual colours range from greens to blues to purples and occasionally reds in her day wear. Most often she has little choice in what colours she must wear to one ball or another, though she tries to keep the dresses rather simple. For footwear, she usually has strong leather boots or leather slippers with laces. Her accessories remain quite modest. A purple drop hangs at her neck; it was a gift from her brothers for one of her birthdays back in the Golden Ages. A pair of rings, one blue, one green, rest on her fingers; they were also gifts from her siblings. Earrings of different types often adorn her ears; usually she sticks with gold, but she has many sets. racial features: N/A anything else: Susan has quite pale skin, much like her siblings, and thin arms and legs. Her hands are quite calloused from all the archery and fighting she has done. playby: Anna Popplewell general description:
Susan is considered to be one of the most beautiful women in all of Narnia... at least, according to the Narnians. She, on the other hand, considers herself to be quite plain. Her hair is quite long, falling halfway down her back. While it is usually relatively straight, it can become very wavy in certain weather conditions, or if she chooses to curl it. The colour is a very typical dark brown, but one that can pick up highlights quite easily. Her eyes, on the other hand, are very distinct. They are a pale blue-grey colour that can vary from an icy stare to a warm, gentle happiness. Her eyes are quite round in shape, yet they are very small.
Pale skin contrasts nicely with a scattering of freckles across her face. Her skin rarely tans, and tends more towards burns inthe summer, therefore she doesn't spend very much time outside during that season. One might expect her hands to be the soft hands of a lady, but instead they are hard with callouses from drawing back her bow in defense of her people, the nails bitten back with nervousness. Otherwise, her skin is very soft and smooth. Her cheeks are fairly rosy, and tend to redden very easily when she's embarrassed. Large, full lips are set below a slightly upturned nose. Her face is rather rounded, but her chin is very stubborn. Her body is definitely that of a woman, with the strong curves, and large bosom and hips. Though she is not considered tall in England, for a woman in Narnia, she is very much above average. Her arms, legs, and core are fairly strong, though they do not appear so, which gives her a great deal of her weight.

general personality:
Susan is very much the gentle queen of Narnia. She's the motherly one of the four Pevensies, to the point of patronisation. This can often lead to bossiness on her part, but it is unintentional; she means well. But sometimes even good intentions can produce bad results. Often she les her feelings influence her judgement and decisions, but usually one of her siblings will step in and stop her before she can do anything she would later regret. So while she may be motherly, she does rely very much on the aid of her siblings, and is thankful for their support.
Susan doesn't cope well with change. While she has gotten used to living in Narnia again, she knows that they will eventually return to England, and is afraid of when that will happen. She doesn't want to leave a peaceful land for one of war, yet she will go when it is time. Here, she is a Queen and a respected archer and diplomat. In England, she is just a schoolgirl with a vivid imagination.
Susan was also always the one who doubted. When Lucy spoke of Aslan when they first returned to Narnia, Susan did not believe her, but eventually realised the truth. She still feels guilty about her disbelief and strives to prove herself to Aslan and the others.
Despite her vivid emotions, Susan can keep a cool head in tense situations. The only times she cannot is when she has no control over the situation, nothing she can do to help. She is an excellent warrior and is even secretly learning swordfighting from some of the Telmarine guards to surprise her brothers. While she doesn't like the idea of Lucy fighting, she has also encouraged the girl to learn to fight, just in case another threat appears.
Another side of Susan has only begun to show itself very recently, mostly in reaction to her older brother's attitude. While she has commented that it's "sweet" that he wants to protect her from the men in court, she's already dealt with suitors before, in the Golden Ages. This protective attitude of his is, in her opinion, very confining. Susan wants to be free, to be allowed to do as she wishes in all aspects of her life. This has brought about a growing tension, at least in Susan, between the two siblings.
Anger has become a much more prominent emotion in recent times. It is not particularly strong - most of the time - but it has lead to some reckless actions on her part, particularly a rebellious streak, one that usually appears in result to some confining action of Peter's. Her anger is quite snappish and always from the heart. She doesn't get angry over unimportant things, only those that matter the most to her. She is still the gentle Queen, but one that has learned that sometimes being gentle isn't the best way to deal with others.
THE HISTORICAL parents: Helen siblings: Peter Pevensie Edmund Pevensie Lucy Pevensie history:
Susan was born in England, a year after her older brother, Peter. The four Pevensie children were much like any other group of siblings; they alternated fighting and getting along for most of their childhood. When she was younger, Susan got along quite well with Lucy, and the two girls spent quite a bit of time together, having fun, until Susan decided that she was too old to spend time with young children like her sister. Lucy often called her boring, but Susan just ignored the remarks.
Logical, practical Susan had to change her tune when the war started. The four Pevensies were sent off to a Professor Kirke's house, where they would stay safe, away from the bombing of London. Safe, it seems, is a matter of opinion. Lucy discovered a land in the wardrobe, though neither Susan, Peter, or Edmund believed her until they all found their way in. Susan was quick to apologise to Lucy for not believing her, and the four set off on their first adventure.
Between Edmund's betrayal, the wolves chasing them, and eventually reaching Aslan's camp, the beginning of their time in Narnia was quite eventful. After the defeat of the White Witch, it all became much more peaceful, though there were still plenty of adventures left to be had. Susan and her siblings grew older, yet never lost their belief in the magic of Narnia.
Yet that came to an end all too soon. The four found their way back to England where - surprisingly - almost no time had passed. Once again they were children, and Susan especially had a hard time adjusting to that. She liked being a regal Queen. Yet off they went to school again, until Caspian called them back to Narnia a year later.
Once again, they had an enemy to defeat - the Telmarines - but everything was so different. It had been hundreds of years since they had left, yet it had only been a year to the Pevensies. Nonetheless, they persevered with the help of Aslan in the end. Susan had not believed that Lucy had seen Aslan, though she knew, deep in her heart, that her younger sister had. She was quite jealous that Lucy had seen the great lion and not her, but eventually they all met Aslan once again, after the defeat of the Telmarine armies.
During that time, Susan had developped an interesting relationship with the then Prince Caspian, who became King after the defeat of his uncle. But life had become much to busy to explore that over the following five years. Between the restoration of Cair Paravel and Aslan's How, dealing with the tensions between the Narnians and the Telmarines, and Caspian's great journey to find the Seven Lords, there just has not been much time to simply sit and talk. But Susan has noticed the King's interest in Ramandu's daughter, and wonders what is going to come of all this.
