Sebastien LienidI've got my memories They're always Inside of me But I can't go back Back to how it was I believe now I've seen too much But I can't go back Back to how it was Created for a place I've never known
This is home Now I'm finally Where I belong Where I belong Yeah, this is home I've been searching For a place of my own Now I've found it Maybe this is home Yeah, this is home
Belief over misery I've seen the enemy And I won't go back Back to how it was And I got my heart set On what happens next I got my eyes wide It's not over yet We are miracles And we're not alone

general personality: Sebastien is generally a happy-go-lucky type of person. He'd much rather be optimistic and happy than cynical and pessimistic. He feels that if he was gonig to live no matter what, he might as well be happy with his life. He likes having fun and doesn't like situations to be overly serious.
Born from a rather poor family, Sebastien was used to hard honest work. He liked the fair system of getting back what he puts in. He doesn't like lying unless and avoids it when possible. He doesn't like being lied to either.
Sebastien has a great sense of right and wrong. He doesn't usually see much grey areas and hates it when he does because it makes taking sides much harder though he tries not to judge others too harshly, knowing that everyone has their faults.
Because his freedom was taken away from him quite forcefully for such a long time, Sebastien revels in his right to choose. Having been trapped and restrained, Seb likes exercising his freedom by traveling and remaining in big open spaces as opposed to small enclosed spaces where he is restricted.
Sebastien is a natural performer and loves pleasing an audience. A standing ovation is music to his ears and often times, the boy can't help but show off a little bit to gain some admiration from onlookers.
Growing up in a poor family meant that Sebastien had received little in the ways of education. His reading and writing skills are limited. He has little patience in learning academics and prefers hands on and practical experiences. This has led to many moments of frustration over his inability to decipher words though he has made little effort to correct it.
Growing up for most of his childhood without his parents has led Sebastien to constantly unconsciously looking for parental figures. Though he is not looking for someone to look after him as he is fairly independent, he secretly wishes for an adult to show approval and kindness towards him.
THE HISTORICAL parents: Mr and Mrs Lienid siblings: A long lost sister named Arrayah history: Early Childhood -- Sebastien was born to a lower class family in the Lone Islands. He was the first born son in the family and would be the one to inherit what little possession the family had. He also had a younger sister, two years his junior, named Arrayah. Though the family was not rich, they made enough to get by and they were happy. The father was a fisherman and sold his catches at the market. The mother, when she was not busy at home, would sometimes work in the kitchens of a local lord.
Sebastien was used to hard honest work. He would do odd jobs around and make what little money he was capable of making at such a young age. It was during this time that he found he had a particular talent of keeping those around him happy and laughing. Not thinking of going into entertainment as his job then, though not letting go this oppurtunity for money, Sebastien would often perform little shows for people, whether or not they were willing to pay. Usually, those who could afford to would give him some money, and those who could not would give him some food or a small present instead.
All in all, his childhood was one that many would wish for. It was simple, happy and full of love. This fairy tale life, however, was short lived.
How his Life Changed -- During the summer of Sebastien's eighth birthday, the family had decided to sail just off the coast for two days for a small holiday of sorts. They had not had a good rest in a while and had wanted to spend some time together. They had enough money that Sebastien's father had deemed it possible to take two days off.
It was on the second day of their voyage that disaster struck. At the time, the family was resting on a remote beach. Sebastien and Arrayah were playing on the sand while their parents sat a distance away under some trees that provided some shade. Suddenly, a group of men came upon them. They grabbed their mom and knocked out their dad. Then, the men tied up Sebastien and Arrayah up, blindfolded them, and hauled them off to a small row boat, then onto a bigger ship.
What happened to their parents, Sebastien never found out. He and his sister were put the belly of the ship for several days along with others who were also captured. The slavers fed them only when necessary and only enough so they didn't starve or were too weak to walk.
After a few days of traveling and being prisoners held in the ship, all of the slaves on board were taken out to the slave market. They were all washed and fed for the final time before being shoved onto the small wooden platform one by one and being sold to the highest bidder.
Knowing that this was the last time he would ever see her again, Sebastien hugged his younger sister, giving her words of comfort and then watched her walk up to the platform to face her doom. She was young and pleasing to the eye and was snatched up quickly by a beefy man with no neck. Sebastien worried about her but was powerless to save her from the evil man.
Sebastien was up next. He too was sold quickly since he was young and could be trained and broken easily. The man who bought him was tall and muscular. His dark eyes bore into Sebastien and his grip was more than firm.
The young boy worked for his new master as best he could. He was good, better than most of the other servants. He was faster, quieter and much more willing to listen than the others. But despite his better services, his master had a twisted sense of satisfaction torturing the boy. He would often hit him whenever he was displeased, whether or not Sebastien was the one to blame. It was from these numerous beatings that Sebastien got his scars.
Where His Adventures Began -- One day, during the summer of his tenth birthday and after an especially bad beating, Sebastien decided that he had had enough. After being dismissed by his master so he could return to his room to rest, Sebastien gathered all of his belongings and quickly slipped out of the small castle. He limped to the closest port and searched for a ship that would take him.
At first, none would take him since he was in such bad condition. He was skinny from the lack of food. Bruises and cuts were littered all over his body from the beatings. Then, one captain who was about to leave the port took pity on the young boy and decided to take him as a cabin boy.
For the next year, Sebastien worked aboard the ship as a cabin boy. The ship shipped cargo and merchandise between countries. Sebastien was better treated on the ship and was given a proper education and other training.
After spending a year on the ship and experiencing several adventures, Sebastien felt that it was time to move on. When the ship stopped in Archenland, Sebastien said his farewells to his shipmates and began his travels on land.
At first, he found this new life exciting. But soon, he realized its hardships. Despite some obstacles, Sebastien used his entertainment talents to make enough money to fill his stomach each day. He performed little shows wherever he went, in public places, in bars or in a lord's private home.
It was during one performance when a particular member of the audience caught Sebastien's eye. it was an old man with a flowing white beard. His eyes were light blue and twinkled when ever he laughed. Sebastien took a liking to this old man immediately even though they had never spoken.
After his performance, the old man went up to the young boy and introduced himself as a traveling bard named Ruben. Ruben was a kind man and like Sebastien, was gifted with talents that would entertain others. Ruben taught Sebastien tricks that he hadn't already learned, like the art of puppeteering. Ruben also taught Sebastien how to play certain musical instruments, how to sing, and how to change anyone's words into a joke.
The two companions traveled through many lands. They sailed to different islands, then went to Archenland, Calormen and Narnia. Wherever they went, they performed. Up until now, Sebastien never had a chance to return to the Lone Islands to investigate the happenings of his family. He was more than certain that his parents were dead. The only hope that he had was that his sister survived. Sebastien kept this thought in mind and tried to track her down wherever he went though he had yet to find her.
How He Became Alone -- Two years after joining Ruben's travels, the old bard became extremely sick. At the time, they were in Archenland. Unable to travel, the two stayed in Anvard with a healer where they hoped Ruben would recover. He never did. All the traveling in his life caught up to him and he passed away peacefully in his sleep.
With no one to go to, Ruben's possessions all went to the young boy. The instruments, books, clothes and other trinkets now belonged to Sebastien. With nothing else to do but mourn for his lost friend, Sebastien set out for Narnia where he hoped to permanently stay in a small village or a city near the sea and make a living there.
He wandered up the coast of Narnia and stopped in several villages and cities. He never stayed long. None of the cities felt like home and while he loved to travel, he was never able to stay away from cities for more than a month at a time. It wasn't until he reached Cair Paravel that he felt the sense of home again.
At first, he entered Cair Paravel as a traveling entertainer. He stuck around to give the servants some entertainment and soon, rumours flew around the castle, eventually reaching the monarch's ears.
So one weekend, Seb performed for their Majesties. The monarchs liked him so much that they decided to keep him around. And thus, Seb now permanently lives in Cair Paravel though he takes frequent trips to other places since he didn't like staying in one place for too long.
