Hi!
I'm Becky,playing the Lady-in-Waiting Hydra.
I've been role playing for six or seven years, longer if you count being in the theater.
I am a Navy recruit, but since I still have some months before boot camp we'll worry about that when it come time.
What else......if there's a problem with my signature,it's cuz I suck at graphics, and didn't know what else to put.
Any questions,or problems please PM me with them.
Byes!

Hi, peoples! I'm Drasi and I play Adam Blackwell (I'll probably add others later. I want a talking horse, goshdarnit!). Been RPing since I was eleven or twelve, so I've got some years under my belt. Of course, I started getting into the higher level stuff this past year, so it's definitely an adjustment from the old illiterate forums i used to be on, but it's a good change.
@becky: OMFG I'm a Sea Cadet! Basically, I'm being trained for an enlisted career in the Navy since I'm still in high school! I just finished staffing a Sea Cadet boot camp last Sunday (since I'm a petty officer and blah blah blah). Just a good piece of advice before ya go: have your 11 General Orders memorized. It saves so much time and effort if that's already done. Anyhoo, have funz with teh Navy! They're actually pretty cool! Oh, and what rating are you going in as, or do you not know that yet?

OMG! I'm an air cadet, which doesn't actually mean much in Canada.

o.o The American Sea Cadet International Exchange Program works with the Canadian Sea Cadets, and it looks like all your cadet programs are linked. That's so wild. Sadly I can't go on International Exchange because it's extremely competitive and I'm only a Petty Officer 3rd Class right now (I get promoted tomorrow, though! Yay!). Anyhoo...That's really interesting how your cadet programs are linked (from the looks of the website). All our military programs are separate. We have Young Marines, Army Cadets, Civil Air Patrol, Sea Cadets, and JROTC for each of the military branches. America is weird.
Oh, and Sea Cadets doesn't mean much in America, either. I joined it and absolutely nobody knew what it was. If I go enlisted in the military, though, I skip a paygrade and get promoted early because I was in the Sea Cadets. It's nice, but I'm not going to go enlisted (they don't want me to since I tripled the entry score on their aptitude test.)
Your Sea Cadets all get bosun's pipes?! *is jealous* It's extremely rare to find a Sea Cadet that can play a bosun's pipe in America. I'm the first female in the program that ever accomplished it, and my unit keeps the pipe (I believe they lost it, too. Grrr...). Do you have to go to a boot camp or recruit training before you move on to any of the advanced trainings?

Umm, I don't know. I've only gone to summer camp once (and I would've gone a few more times had the administration not screwed up) and gone to the weekend training stuff. Honestly though, I'm hoping to quit sometime soon because it is taking up too much of my time. Like how I skipped yesterday because apparently looking through a microscope for 5 hours straight will make you feel sick. Anyways, my love for cadets fluctuate greatly --> not a fan of standing outdoors near a big body of water when it's...32 F without windchill.
And I know like one person who went on exchange. She went to Australia a few years ago.
And the officers forgot to promote me 2 years ago. So I'm sadly still a Sergeant.
Also, I am forced to point and laugh at you. Because you are a sea cadet. As an air cadet, I must do that.
And like everyone here knows what a cadet is. There's like 3 air cadet squadrons, 2 army cadet corps and 1 sea cadet corps in the city.

As Sea Cadets, we don't like Civil Air Patrol, so I pointz and laughs back.
Anyhoo, we have three Sea Cadet units in my county (a squadron, a battalion (mine!), and a division), and yet we are still rather unknown. I was supposed to be promoted last month, but the woman who runs admin hates me or something because I compete with her daughter. Grrr...
I have my doubts about cadets sometimes, but I'm going to finish it. I'm the last one left of my generation of cadets in my unit, so that means something, I guess. It sucked having to watch all my friends quit, though. Still, the trainings are a whole lot of fun. We stay at military bases and do anything from photo journalism to SEAL training to FAA ground school, but we have to go to boot camp first (which really sucks). I did that two years ago, and I hated it. The trainings make it worth it all, though.

I'm the oldest in my level. So apparently, I'd be the first to age out. I'm hoping to quit before then because it's tradition to be ganged up in a water fight on your last day. In uniform of course.
I'd do more, but school sucks up a lot of time.

I've never seen anyone graduate from the Sea Cadet program yet, so I don't know if we have any traditions...Still, quit before the water fight! That, and school is good. I've already started back up in my high school classes, but my college classes don't start until next week (I do high school and college at the same time 'cause I'm weird like that).
