Always a good way to start the day; wandering about aimlessly wasting your time. Sighing, Eydie dropped her bag to the ground in a very defeated manner. Maybe she should have stayed with her father's advise and not wander about investigating random things. But that's just who she was. Since she was technically traveling on her father's behalf, she's not suppose to be following her natural curiosity. Oh well, too late to fix what she'd already done. Stepping delicately around a group of bystanders, Eydie trudged along, her bag clutched loosely in her hand. Didn't want her bag to hit anyone as she walked past them. That could cause for unwanted confrontation that would inevitably end with Eydie the one in pain; physical or emotional. Whatever. She was use to life throwing curve balls at her age.
Adding a small skip to her step, the Telmarine moved through the shopping area of Cair Paravel. Such a pretty place to come and visit. The people and animals living here were also beyond the term of friendly. Very cozy feeling to the girl, one that she wouldn't mind keeping a grasp on for longer than she had it. Here she didn't have to work twenty four seven, while back at home she did. No, when a person traveled they didn't have to work as hard. Unless of course that was their job, traveling. Oh what a marvelous job that would be. Smiling at the sheer thought of that maybe being her life one day, Eydie hugged the bag to her chest. She'd spent the few bits and pieces of money she'd scrounged together on a gift for her baby brother. Some book that she thought he might like. She wasn't much of a reader, nor was she much of a writer.
But if Atticus liked them, then she supposed they would work for her. Digging through the bag, Eydie pulled out the book, turning it every which way as if trying to interpret its inner contents by investigating the exterior. Not the smartest thought she had had, but then again Eydie wasn't really trying to think about it at the moment. She was merely trying to find something to preoccupy herself with. Walking wasn't as interesting as she had hoped it would be. Due to her lack of focus at the moment on where she was going, Eydie felt her body collide with another person. Gasping from shock, the girl fell to the ground; immediately bouncing onto her knees as she scrambled to pick the book back up. Looking over at the person, her worried, startled eyes shone as she spoke in a hasty fashion, "I am so, so sorry! I-I wasn't paying attention. I honestly did not mean to bump in to you! Please forgive my clumsiness!"
